Our Bondi Junction and Regents Park surgeries are well established, having serviced the local community for over 20 years and 10 years respectively.
More affectionately known as Yayie, and born and raised in the Philippines, Yayie graduated as an overseas trained dentist in 1990. On moving to Australia, Yayie joined the dental industry and before too long she passed the overseas board exam. With the encouragement of her employers, she pursued the establishment of her own private practice. Having owned and operated Quality Dental Care in Sydney for over 12 years she has become well accomplished in the work she performs, and well acquainted with the communities she serves. Yayie specializes in all forms of general dentistry and has a strong interest in Cosmetic Dentistry and works at both practices.
Eylul joined our surgery with an abundance of ability, enthusiasm and industry expertise. Having achieved her PhD, along with Honours and Scholarships, locally and abroad, Eylul went on to carry out research for Australian Dental Research and also lectured at the University of Sydney on Oral Surgery, Biology, Histology and Pathology. An experienced private practitioner, Eylul specialises in Vascular Biology, Oral Cancer, invasion and metastasis, Oral Surgery, and Maxillofacial Trauma. For Eylul, being bilingual means English and Turkish are spoken fluently. Eylul is also available at both practices.
Nanette obtained her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of the Philippines College of Dentistry. Soon after graduation she joined her mother in their private dental practice and also accepted the invitation by the University of the Philippines to teach undergraduate Dentistry. While a member of the academic staff she obtained a Masters degree in Health Professions Education from the University of the Philippines under a WHO scholarship as well as a Masters degree in Dental Surgery (Maxillofacial Prosthetics) from the Faculty of Dentistry University of Sydney on an Australian government scholarship. At the College of Dentistry, University of the Philippines she also held various administrative positions including Head of the Prosthodontic section, Department of Clinical Dentistry for many years and College Secretary. She retired from teaching as an Associate Professor of Dentistry. Nanette now works as an Associate with Quality Dental Care and with the Sydney Local Health District (Maxillofacial Prosthetics Section, Specialist Support Department of the Sydney Dental Hospital). Her work in both practices involves Maxillofacial Prosthetics, fixed and removable dentures and limited practice in General Dentistry
Maria Jose is our new Dental Hygienist
Trained by Dr Anthony Chan, and working as assistant to Dr Contemplacion, Julie commenced her career as a Dental Nurse in 2003. Since 2005 Julie has been employed as a loyal and dedicated employee of Quality Dental Care, and celebrates her 10th year with us in 2015. She has a passion for caring for our patients in her role as a chair side expert and her experience ensures that our team of practitioners can count on the support they need during procedures. She provides the utmost care to all patients, assists the dentist, and diligently handles a number of administration tasks. She is a most valuable member of our team and has been the face of our Regents Park front desk throughout the years. Prior to her current career and for more than a decade until 2002, Julie owned and operated family run delicatessens. Julie is originally from Cantong in Chongsan, mainland China, resided in Fiji for many years, and in multilingual, speaking English and also fluently in Cantonese and Mandarin. Julie is a big advocate for a healthy lifestyle!
Ruth completed her degree in Bachelor of Science in Nursing,and worked as an emergency nurse abroad for more than 14 years, in Asia and the Middle East. In early 2011, Ruth moved to Australia and started working as a dental nurse which quickly became her area of expertise. Ruth is happy working and being a part of the team of Quality Dental Care. As she puts it “The professionalism,the patience the passion and the care that you give to the patient and the satisfaction that you see on the patient smile is overwhelming. Here, we not only make sure that we look after our patient to the best of their expectation, but we make sure that we look after each other as a team and as a family”. Ruth also Speaks English and Tagalog fluently.
Monique has been working at her mum’s surgeries ever since she finished school. She adds an element of calm to the surgery, with her ability to ensure bookings are well cared for from the time they walk in to the time they finish their treatment
Nicole works part time in our surgeries, and is currently following in her mum’s footsteps, studying Dentistry, and applying her experience towards achieving her qualification.
